KEON IS NOT A KINGDOM FREE OF FLAWS. KEON HAS BEEN RULED BY MEN WITH ONE GOAL— RULE ALL OF IT.
They pushed away the Mystics, leaving a single dangerous island as the only home for those that didn’t retreat back into their magical realm.
They fought wars to force villages to unite out of fear of being erased from the map.
The only threat left was the pirates, at least until their leader, Silus, was murdered at the King’s hands. That was when Prince Tallyn lost the final shred of hope he had left for his kingdom. It pushed him to abdicate the crown to his younger brother and consume himself in studies of the Myst. He always dreamed of adventure and life free of his crown…until the dreams became too realistic.
With Silus gone, Keon was meant to be safe, but now rumors of his child have begun to circle the kingdom. The child is after an ancient Mystic being long extinct from Keon, and they need Tallyn’s help.

The Chronicles of Keon caught me by surprise. Be it the compelling characters, the writing of the author, or the world building—but this book has them all. The draw of the book is its fantasy realm that’s original and mixing pirates and magic (which was a delightful touch). The Mystic Village arc has to be my favorite for the character progression and expanding on lore. For lovers of fantasy, this book is a must.

The Oracle provides exactly what you want and need from a first novel in a series: a taste of a whole new world in that of Keon. Fantastic character development for both strong female and male characters. I feel like a lot of books focus on one or the other.

Just finished a second reading of this intriguing book. Reading it once was not enough. The author has the art of giving enough detail to picture what you’re reading, but not so many that it becomes boring. She brings the characters to life. I am totally fascinated by Killian. There are so many layers to her that it makes me want to be able to interact. As she and Tallyn traveled to learn more about Idelands and The Myst, I couldn’t wait to see what the next page would bring. I tried to find my favorite place in the world this author created, but it wasn’t possible. I would love to be able to travel to each. It was a well written book that left me wanting more! I am looking forward to the next!

I was hooked from the first page and absolutely devoured it! The character and world building was so well done. I can’t wait for her to release the next one!
